DAY 1 - ARRIVE HAVANA

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel with your English-speaking guide. Remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 2 - HAVANA

Visit a tobacco factory and enjoy a panoramic tour of Havana including Revolution Square, Hotel Nacional, Malecón etc. Continue on a walking tour through colonial Old Havana and the most important sights: Capitolio, Obispo Street, Cathedral Square and Hemingway´s “Bodeguita". In the evening, cruise in Classic American cars along the Quinta Avenida to dinner in the 1950ies-style diplomatic quarter Miramar.

DAY 3 - HAVANA TO VIÑALES – HAVANA (390 KM)

Drive along the “Tobacco Route" to Pinar del Rio. Visit the house of a “Veguero" (tobacco farmer) and take a short photo stop at Mirador Los Jazmines. Visit the "Prehistoric Wall" and discover an Indian cave by boat. Head back to Havana and enjoy dinner in a restaurant with a special atmosphere.

DAY 4 - HAVANA OR DAY EXCURSION HERSHEY (OPTIONAL, NOT INCLUDED)

MO-SA: Visit to Hemingway's former residence Finca Vigia and the fisherman´s village Cojimar, backdrop of Hemingway's Nobel Prize winning novel “The Old Man and the Sea". Afterwards, see the famous Christ statue and enjoy a wonderful view over the harbor and Old Havana. Finally, nip at Hemingway's famous Daiquiri creation in the author’s old haunt "La Floridita".
SU: Trans Hershey excursion – board the nostalgic 1920s Hershey train and discover the beautiful Cuban landscape with live music, animation and an open bar. Stop at romantic bridges and in the fields where you will also learn how to cut sugar canes.

DAY 5 - HAVANA TO BAY OF PIGS -& CIENFUEGOS (295 KM)

Transfer to central Cuba with stop at Guamá. Continue along the historic "Bay of Pigs" to the city of Cienfuegos with its French inspired colonial buildings. Enjoy a walk through the city. In the evening, dine at a yacht club in the peninsula Punta Gorda.

DAY 6 - CIENFUEGOS – SANTA CLARA – TRINIDAD (155 KM)

In the morning, head to Santa Clara to see the Che Guevara Monument. Continue on to Trinidad – a UNESCO world heritage site with unique colonial architecture. Enjoy a walking tour including a visit of the ethnic Canchancharra bar and the Romantic Museum. In the evening, experience Trinidad’s romantically illuminated nightlife with live music and dance.

DAY 7 - TRINIDAD – SUGAR MILL VALLEY - CAMAGÜEY (255 KM)

Drive to Sugarmill Valley and visit the hacienda of the sugar baron Iznaga with its slave tower. Continue through the green sugar cane plantations to the provincial capital Camagüey, city of the “Tinajones" and home of the national poet Nicolas Guillén. Enjoy a walking tour across the Plaza Agramonte, named after a national hero whose house can be visited in the square.

DAY 8 - CAMAGÜEY – BAYAMO – EL COBRE - SANTIAGO (350 KM)

Continue to Bayamo where the fight for freedom from the Spanish crown began. Continue on to the pilgrim´s church El Cobre in the Sierra Maestra mountains and to Santiago, melting pot of different cultures and the city of music. In the evening, visit the legendary Casa de la Trova or the Casa de los Abuelos and listen and dance to traditional live music.

DAY 9: SANTIAGO

In the morning, walking tour along major sightseeing points: Parque Cespedes, Carneval Museum, Casa Velasquez. Visit to the cemetery Santa Ifigenia and a panoramic tour of Revolution Square and the Moncada barracks. Journey via ferry to Cayo Granma island in the harbor and visit the fortress El Morro.

DAY 10 - SANTIAGO – GUANTANAMO – BARACOA (235 KM)

After an early wake-up, journey through the “African" city Guantanamo (center of religious “Vodoo" and “Santeria") and a deserted cactus landscape over scenic green mountains to Baracoa, where Columbus once landed. Upon arriving in Baracoa, visit the Matachin museum and enjoy a walking tour of the old colonial town, including a visit to the cathedral that houses the Cruz de la Parra (15th century).

DAY 11 - BARACOA TO HOLGUIN (SANTIAGO) & HAVANA

In the morning, excursion to the surroundings of Baracoa and a little introduction to the world of cocao. Enjoy a boat tour on the Rio Toa and lunch at an ecological finca within wonderful nature. Afterwards, continue to Holguin or Santiago or board a flight to Havana and corresponding transfer. For a beach extension in Guardalavaca: private transfer from Holguin or Santiago to Guardalavaca.

DAY 12 - HAVANA

Enjoy some free time in the morning. Later (noon at the latest), check out and transfer to the Havana airport. If beach extension in Varadero: private transfer to Varadero at additional charge.

There are a number of factors which will influence the price of your travel arrangements, including the standard of hotel (we offer a variety of standards from three-star (medium) to First Class), the season, the duration of your trip, the level of private guiding and the complexity of the itinerary.

Prices are for private arrangements and are per person based on two people travelling together and sharing a room.
