Enjoy some of the main highlights of Australia including Sydney, Ayers Rock, Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef while enjoying the Daintree Rainforest and Kuranda Railway.

This holiday is a wonderful introduction to Australia for the first time visitor, taking in three of the country's most recognisable icons - Sydney, Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the Great Barrier Reef - staying at Palm Cove. After a few days initially in the bustling city of Sydney you will fly to the cultural heart of the country where you will take in the natural attractions of the region before flying to tropical north Queensland. Here you will spend time on the Great Barrier Reef as well as exploring the area.


After clearing immigration and customs, our representative will meet you and escort you to your hotel. Arrive at the hotel and check-in.

Radiating from the sparkling waters of Sydney Harbour, Australia’s largest city stretches from the shores of the Pacific Ocean to the foot of the Blue Mountains. Along with outstanding natural assets – stunning beaches, extensive parklands and the vast expanse of the harbour – Sydney boasts an impressive list of urban attractions, including world class shopping venues and a host of superb restaurants and nightclubs. Its cityscape ranges from sandstone buildings of Georgian elegance to skyscrapers of futuristic design.


Depart your hotel for an unforgettable Panoramic Sydney half day city sights tour. On tour you'll visit the historic Rocks area and hear early convict history. Enjoy magnificent views of the Opera House & Harbour Bridge. See the shopping heart of the city, QVB, Centrepoint.

Visit Sydney's trendy new district Oxford Street. Travel through elegant Paddington with its terrace houses before arriving at the Pacific Ocean. See the superb coast cliff walk around Tamarama and Bronte. Travel on to famous Bondi Beach. Visit the beachfront promenade, enjoy a coffee or cool drink (at own cost). See bronzed Aussie lifesavers & Sydney's best panoramic view.

Return to Sydney via Double Bay, Kings Cross & city centre. Your tour concludes at Circular Quay.

1:45pm This afternoon take part in a Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. Climb departs from 5 Cumberland Street, The Rocks. Climbers must arrive and check in 15 minutes prior to climb time.

2:00pm A professional team will take you on an exhilarating climb all the way to the top! Come and feel the thrill of making your way over the catwalk to the Pylon and then setting out across the arch on your way to the summit. Before you lies a spectacular 360 degree view of one of the greatest harbours, and one of the greatest cities. The climb leader will be equipped with the latest in digital photographic technology to ensure that every climber has that all important picture of themselves and their team members at the summit of the Bridge. The climb takes three hours from the time of check in to return to base and will operate in all weather conditions with the exception of electrical storms. You will be given a Bridge-suit to wear, but you are required to wear enclosed rubber soled shoes and comfortable clothing. Be prepared to be breath tested (climbers must be under .05% blood alcohol level) and sign a medical declaration to satisfy the Bridge Climb conditions. Lockers are provided as cameras, video recorders and other loose items are not permitted on the Bridge. The Bridge Climb takes approximately 3 hours to complete. (B)


Small group backcountry 4WD sightseeing in the breathtaking Blue Mountains. See kangaroos, koalas, waterfalls, the 3 Sisters, hidden canyons. Enjoy fully inclusive morning tea in the bush as well as a superb lunch in a historic Blue Mountains hotel.

Depart your city hotel this morning and travel across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, past the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games site before enjoying morning tea with wild kangaroos deep in the Australian bush. See kangaroos up close plus friendly parrots and cockatoos. In the high Blue Mountains today you'll see waterfalls, magnificent canyons and Australia's most famous sight - the remarkable 3 Sisters.

Travel on backcountry 4WD tracks leading to amazing lookouts that only our modified, small group vehicles can access. Lunch today is at a gorgeous historic mountain hotel with fantastic views, great food and friendly Aussie hospitality.

This afternoon, visit the thrilling Scenic Railway in Katoomba (optional). Ride the steepest passenger railway in the world (entry is at own expense) or enjoy a short walk to nearby Katoomba waterfalls & gallery. Mid afternoon, overnight passengers are picked up/dropped off at their Katoomba hotel before we return to Sydney.

Enroute to Sydney see, photograph, pat Koalas and Kangaroos at Sydney's premier Australian animal wildlife park. Return to all Sydney city hotels for drop-offs having enjoyed a Blue Mountains day with memories for a life time. (B,L)


Today is free to explore Sydney at your leisure. Sydney offers a multitude of activities. Surf the breakers at Bondi Beach or jump on a ferry and see the harbour sights. Enjoy some of Sydney’s galleries, museums, parks and shopping. Whatever you do, Sydney is a great place to explore.

Whether it’s a new dining experience, cool cocktail, fabulous coffee or piece of artwork you’re after, it's all here... Eating by the harbour or beach is an essential part of Sydney life. Shopping is another specialty. The Rocks, Double Bay and Oxford Street and the Queen Victoria Building boasts the best in fashion, opals, Aboriginal Art and other distinctive souvenirs. (B)


Transfer by private vehicle to the airport for your flight to Ayers Rock. Upon arrival in Ayers Rock, transfer by resort courtesy service to your hotel.

Uluru is more than just a great snapshot. Sitting at the heart of the continent, it defines the physical and cultural landscape of Australia. Here is a place at the centre of the social and physical world for Anangu, Aboriginal people, who have lived here for more than 20,000 years. It is also a spiritual place for travellers who want to experience the silent beauty of the vast Outback.

This evening enjoy the "Sounds of Silence" - the quietest restaurant on earth. You will be transferred to a desert dune where you will sip champagne and listen to the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo as you watch a magnificent sunset over Kata Tjuta. When the sun has finally set, lanterns are lit and a delicious Northern Territory gourmet barbecue is served. After dinner the lights go down revealing a star filled sky, clearer and brighter than most city dwellers will ever see. The resident Astronomer will then introduce you to the magnificent constellations, stars and planets that make up the skies of the Southern Hemisphere. (B,D)


Before sunrise you will be collected from your accommodation for your morning tour.

Revel in the early morning serenity of a truly spiritual place as the sunrise colours change on Kata Tjuta. Learn about the many attributes of this diverse environment. Walk between the mighty conglomerate rock walls into Walpa Gorge and hear how the 36 domes that make up Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years. A gourmet picnic breakfast will be provided this morning.

At the conclusion of the tour, enjoy some time at leisure before this afternoon’s tour.

Embrace the culture, geology and environment that is Uluru. Meander around the monolith walking into waterholes and art sites with your guide and learn of Uluru’s cultural significance to the Anangu (local Aboriginal) people. Witness a spectacular sunset and absorb the majesty of this powerful place. Nibbles and drinks are provided. (B)


Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairns. On arrival transfer by private vehicle to your accommodation in beautiful Palm Cove. Serene Palm Cove, 27 kilometres North West of Cairns, has white sandy beaches and streets lined with palm trees. It is essentially a resort village, with locals and tourists alike soaking up the relaxed Far North atmosphere. The lifestyle is based around the water – fishing of the jetty, horse riding along the beach and swimming in the Coral Sea’s crystal-clear blue water.

Palm Cove's beach offers warm tropical water year round and a silky sandy beach lined with majestic Palm trees all the way along making the view of the coral sea a spectacular experience.

The paradise of Palm Cove has everything you need – from small beachfront cafes to 5 star a la carte dining, 3 of them are in the TOP 200 restaurants in Australia (Australian Gourmet Guide), where you can experience al fresco dining under the stars with beautiful beachfront views. And don't forget the stunning golf course, selection of endless swimming pools, tennis courts, squash, sailing, fishing, sauna and gym. Whether you're planning an action packed holiday or a leisurely laid-back vacation, Palm Cove has something to suit all tastes. (B)


The Great Barrier Reef supports 1,500 species of fish, 400 types of coral and over 30 types of whales and dolphins. It is the only living structure visible from the moon, is a national treasure and one of the true wonders of the world.

This morning transfer to Marlin Jetty to board a Fast Catamaran. Departing Cairns, your destination is Marine World – a purpose-built two storey platform 45 metres x 12 metres featuring Spacious Lower Deck with Ample Undercover Seating, Upper Sundeck with Sun Lounges, Underwater Observatory, Children’s Safety Swimming Enclosure, easy access to the water for snorkellers, Moon Pool for ease of access for divers and Fresh Water Showers. Travelling time (to and from) Marine World is approximately one and a half hours each way.

We offer our guests 5 full hours at Marine World to experience unlimited snorkelling - all your snorkelling equipment and instruction is provided, Interactive Coral Viewing Vessel Tours and all the facilities of Marine World. Enjoy the magic the reef has to offer by stepping aboard a glass bottom reef viewing vessel. A sumptuous tropical smorgasbord lunch will be served, along with morning/afternoon tea. Included in your day is a 5 minute introductory scenic helicopter flight – a bird's eye view of the breathtaking sights of the Great Barrier Reef. Return to Cairns approximately 5:00 pm and return transfer to your accommodation. (B,L)


Come with us as we experience the oldest continuous rainforest on the planet from above and below!

After pick up from the Port Douglas area we head over the Daintree River on the ferry and up to Cape Tribulation beach via beautiful boardwalks. We then Jungle Surf through the canopy of this ancient rainforest area before indulging in a picnic lunch at a beautiful tropical beach (watch out for coconuts)!

Then it's sweet ice-cream from the tropical fruit ice-cream factory and then onto Alexandra Range lookout to admire the view. Finally a wildlife spotting boat cruise on the Daintree and back to Port Douglas with the option of a refreshing river swim on the way... by far a very cool day. (B,L)


7:45am Transfer by private vehicle to Freshwater Station.

8:50am Board the Kuranda Scenic Rail for a spectacular journey with stunning views. Pass massive Baron Falls, Stoney Creek and cross steep ravines. Enjoy the KSR Gold Class experience – a special rail journey for the discerning traveller desiring a more luxurious, personalised touring experience. Sipping on sparkling wine or a cold beer and savouring delicious finger foods whilst enjoying the breathtaking natural wonders.

10:15am Upon arrival in Kuranda enjoy time at leisure to explore this unique rainforest village. Browse in the markets (market days are every day but strongest on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), shops and art galleries or visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or Bird World (own expense).

1:15pm Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway which will take you skimming over the pristine rainforest canopy. Stop for short walks at Barron Falls and Red Peak which offer stunning views and time to explore the forest floor. You will see sensational views of the Coral Sea, Green Island, Cairns City, lush tableland region and mountain ranges as Skyrail takes you to Caravonica.

2:45pm Upon arrival in Caravonica, transfer by private vehicle to your accommodation in Palm Cove. (B)


Today is free to enjoy Palm Cove at your leisure.


Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
