Peru is a country that will take your breath away. It has a very rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes from high mountains to dense jungle to coastal deserts and has deep rooted colonial and indigenous traditions, including some fascinating Festivals such as Inti Raymi in late June.
Neighboring country, Bolivia is also rich with culture and heritage, boasting Lake Titicaca, the Uyuni salt flats, the Andes, and the Amazon.
DAY 1 - ARRIVAL TO LIMA
Arrival at the City of Lima, reception and transfer to the hotel.
HALF DAY VISIT TO MODERN AND COLONIAL LIMA (PVT)
In the afternoon, you will visit modern and colonial areas around Lima -known also as “The City of Kings”- starting with Miraflores and San Isidro, along these districts you will find Huacas or Pre-Inca Sacred Spots. You will stop at the Parque del Amor (Lover’s Park) located by Miraflores’ seafront, where you’ll have a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. You will also visit the city’s Historic Center, where you’ll find the Main Square, Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Municipal Hall and the Cathedral plus, you’ll also have the chance to explore one of colonial architecture’s most important convents.
DAY 2 - LIMA - CUSCO
At a proper time, transfer to the airport for flight to Cusco. Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel.
HALF DAY CITY TOUR & NEARBY RUINS (PVT)
Get to know the city of Cusco, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and possessor of a style all its own. The tour begins at the Koricancha Temple, an old Incan palace and main center for the worship of the sun god, Inti. Once the Spanish conquered Peru, the Dominican order built a church over this temple’s foundations: the Temple of Santo Domingo. We will make a stop in the San Cristobal Lookout, from where you will enjoy a beautiful view of the city. Your next destination is the Main Square, then the adventure continues at the Sacsayhuaman Fortress built of enormous stone blocks expertly shaped by the Incas. The tour continues with visits to three archaeological sites: Kenko and Puca-Pucará, important religious and administrative centers for the Incas. Finally you will visit the art workshop named Inka’s Expresion that presents artists working on silver pieces and painting in wood. It is an ideal place for the ones that like Andean art.
DAY 3 - CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY - CUSCO
FULL DAY AUTHENTIC SACRED VALLEY (PVT)
Today’s first destination is Chinchero, a quaint little town that houses an important Inca archaeological center, built at the end of the 1400’s, as well as a lovely and very traditional church. We will visit "Urpi" a famous textile center where the townsfolk have preserved the traditional Andean spinning and weaving techniques, they will also show you how they get the vivid natural colors for their fabrics. On our way to Ollantaytambo, we will stop at the lookout point of Racchi, where we will have the chance to have some of the best views of the Sacred Valley, after that, lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Afterwards, we will get to Ollantaytambo, one of the most monumental architectural complexes of the ancient Inca Empire, one of the few places where the Spanish conquistadors lost a major battle. Very well known for its “andenes” (terraces dug into the slopes of mountains for agricultural purposes), Ollantaytambo was a highly effective fortress that also served as a temple. Then, we will continue to the adjacent town of Ollantaytambo, “the unique living Inca town”: the best surviving example of Inca city planning, with narrow cobblestone streets that have been continuously inhabited since the 13th century.
DAY 4 - CUSCO - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
At a proper time, transfer to the train station.
F/D MACHU PICCHU - EXPEDITION W/LOCAL GUIDE
Awaiting you today is by far and away one of the high points in world tourism: Machu Picchu. Your adventure starts onboard the Expedition train. After your arrival at the city of Aguas Calientes, you will disembark and then board a bus that drives you to the Machu Picchu archaeological site, where you will definitely have an experience you will never forget. Led by an expert guide, you will discover this New Wonder of the World; afterwards, you will have some free time for you to explore the site on your own, to relax, or to meditate. At the agreed upon hour, you will descend to Aguas Calientes to board the train for your return trip to Cusco in Expedition train. Arrival at the train station and transfer to the hotel.
DAY 5 - CUSCO - PUNO
At a proper time, transfer to the bus station for trip to Puno.
You will leave from the station to start our trip by bus to Puno, so you can enjoy the wonderful scenery on the way.First you will visit Andahuaylillas, a town where a precious church from the 17th century boasts an amazing organ decorated with angels and cherubs.After this you will visit Racchi ruins, known as "The Temple of God Wiracocha". The last stop before arriving to Puno will be La Raya, highest point on the road between Cusco and Puno from where we will get excellent photo opportunities. After this you will arrive to Puno and transfer to the hotel.
DAY 6 - PUNO, ISLA DEL SOL
PUNO – COPACABANA – SUN ISLAND
Trip by private transport from Puno with a wonderful view of Lake Titikaka along the route (3 hours) until Copacabana (3 ½ hours), a pleasant town in the shores of Lake. Visit to its church and the famous "Virgen Morena". Trip by boat crossing the Lake to the Island of the Sun (1 hour) until Huacani to have an Aptapi (typical lunch in the highlands), this trip continue by boat up till to the ruins of Pilkokaina Inca temple Finally hike to La Estancia with a wonderful view of Lake Titicaca (1 hour approximately).

DAY 7 - ISLA DEL SOL - LA PAZ
LA CHINCANA – MOON ISLAND – LA PAZ
Hike down through Yumani visiting the Inca stairs and the Water of the Eternal Youth, then have a trip north by boat to visit Chincana ruins and the Sacred Rock (1 hour); continue by boat to the Island of the Moon (1 hour) and the Inca ruins of Iñak Uyu temple to finally reach Copacabana (1 ½ hours). Private transportation to La Paz (3 ½ hours) with very nice views of the Andes Royal Range.
DAY 8 - LA PAZ
HALF DAY CITY TOUR AND VALLEY OF THE MOON
A 4 hours city tour through La Paz, elected as one of the 7 wonder cities in the world. It is located in a valley at the foothills of the Andes Range, situated at 3,632m / 11942 ft. above sea level. The tour goes through the street markets rich in handicrafts, weavings and witchcraft items, followed by a visit to the colonial section of the city, San Francisco Church, Gold Museum, Murillo Square also visit to the viewpoint "Mirador de Killi Killi"; and the outdoor replica of Tiwanaku temple. Then descending to the more modern, southern part of La Paz to reach and visit the Valley of the Moon, where a clay mountain has been impressively shaped by erosion. Ride by cable car “Teleférico”, it’s a good choice to discover an excellent and beautiful view of La Paz. This is a must for every one!
DAY 9 - LA PAZ - UYUNI
LA PAZ - UYUNI SALT FLATS (3D/2N)
LA PAZ – UYUNI – UYUNI SALT FLATS – TAHUA
Transfer to the airport. Morning flight from La Paz to Uyuni, Meeting at the airport and transfer to Uyuni village.
10:00 am enter this unique natural wonder with over 10.582 km2 at 3.692 m of salt is really special; you’ll visit the village of Colchani in the shores to see the locals produce salt. Enter this perfect natural highway to cross it to “Isla Incahuasi” (2 hours), a special habitat of volcanic rocks and giant cactus, continue north to the mummies of Coquesa in the foothills of the Tunupa volcano. Trip west to Tahua and ENJOY A GREAT SUNSET!.

DAY 10 - UYUNI
TAHUA – SURROUNDINGS – COLCHANI
Transport and a very nice hike to a natural viewpoint of Chillima and the ruins of Pucara, where you’ll have a great view of the Uyuni salt flats and its surroundings, then descend hiking to the salt flats (3 hours). Trip southeast entering the Uyuni salt flats towards Colchani. Overnight in a salt hotel.

DAY 11 - UYUNI - LA PAZ

Transfer to the airport for flight to La Paz.

HALF DAY TIWANAKU RUINS
Tiwanaku is a 1.5 hour drive from La Paz (72 km/45 miles), throughout which the highlands are passed and the Aymaran way of life can be seen. Tiwanaku dating back to 1580BC - 1200AC, was one of the most important pre-Inca civilizations and considered to be among the most developed at the time. The main constructions visited during this tour are: Kalasasaya temple and the Gate of the Sun constructed out of stone, Ponce and Fraile monoliths; Akapana pyramid and semi-underground temple. Two local museums to view pottery, stone work and learn about the culture are also included on this trip.
DAY 12 - LA PAZ
